L’ Ouverture des Exportations Marocaines : l’Impact des Exportations du Phosphate et ses Dérivés sur La Croissance Economique ETUDE ECONOMETRIQUE

The overall objective of this study is to verify the causality between phosphate exports andeconomic growth in Morocco. Using a simple methodological approach, the study uses VARand causality techniques to test and answer the hypothesis of our research that exports ofphosphates and their derivatives cause economic growth in Morocco in the Granger sense.The structural VAR model technique was used to estimate the model under specific constraints.The data used cover a period between 1980 and 2014. The study is based on a theoretical modeland the tools of the structural VAR methodology (Granger causality, impulse-responsefunctions, decomposition of the variance of the forecast error) are used.The results of the study show that despite the lack of cointegration between economic growthand phosphate exports. These results show the existence of a positive and significant impactbetween exports of raw phosphate as well as natural and chemical fertilizers on the growth ratein Morocco.
