La place de l’université dans le nouveau modèle de développement Cas de l’université Marocaine

Before the XIXth century, the society expects the university to provide high quality highereducation and research, and to contribute to the development of knowledge and learning,which are the two traditional missions of the university. Today, however, society expects theuniversity to contribute to economic, social, political and cultural development. This is thethird mission delegated to the university in the service of the community.Moreover, the participation of the university world is the opportunity for companies tocomplement and strengthen its capacity for innovation. And putting the university at the heartof the innovation ecosystem is an essential condition for regional and national development.The objective of this article is to better understand how the place of the Moroccan university,has been structured in the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem, and what are thestrategies and policies launched by Morocco to put the university at the heart of the ecosystemand ambitious their role in the new Moroccan development model.
