The present research aims to identify individual and cultural characteristics that play decisiveroles in the process of triggering entrepreneurial intention in students. Our purely exploratoryapproach is based on a questionnaire administered to the 312 students of the University ofDosso. The results of the survey show that the students of the University of Dosso intend tostart their business because our three hypotheses through Principal Component Analysis(PCA), all positively influence the entrepreneurial intention of the students but in differentproportions. The relationship between perception of behavioral control and entrepreneurialintention is strongest. One of the lessons that emerges at the end of this study is the proposalof a balanced model of training offer within our universities and the establishment of supportstructures for the carriers of business projects, which are lacking in most universities in Niger.
