CYBERSECURITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION: CHALLENGES AND PREVENTION STRATEGIES
Cybersecurity is a top priority for higher education institutions, which must protect sensitive institutional data and ensure the continuity of educational activities. In this article, we have examined the common threats to cybersecurity in higher education, such as phishing attacks, viruses and ransomware, and other common threats. We have also examined the potential consequences of a cybersecurity breach in higher education, such as loss of sensitive data, disruption of institutional activities, and loss of trust from students and staff. Next, we have looked at strategies for preventing cybersecurity in higher education, such as training staff and students in online security best practices, technical security measures, and cybersecurity incident management procedures. We have also examined the specific challenges of cybersecurity in higher education, such as managing security in a constantly evolving environment, protecting sensitive research data, and confidentiality issues in an online learning environment. Finally, we have examined best practices in managing cybersecurity in higher education, such as implementing clear security policies and collaborating with cybersecurity experts.
