THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ON SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE: A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK INTEGRATING INFORMATION SHARING

Manufacturing companies around the world are executing sophisticated strategies to excel in digital transformation while simultaneously improving sustainable supply chain performance. This paper investigates the interplay between digital transformation and sustainable supply chain performance shedding light on the mediating role of information sharing. It aims to offer a conceptual framework to explain these interactions and explore how organizations can leverage emerging technologies to achieve sustainability outcomes, which offers valuable contributions for both academic research and practical applications. There are a few studies that provide theoretical analysis to examine all three dimensions of sustainability, while at the same time analyzing the effect of information sharing as a mediating mechanism to develop supply chain sustainability. The findings of this research reveal the pivotal role of DT in companies and the dynamic mechanisms of information sharing in enhancing SSCP, which ultimately contribute to the development of a robust supply chain.
